Individual Yoga

I fell in love with yoga years ago because of its richness, its beauty, and its ability to help us feel more at home in ourselves in body, mind, and spirit.

In yoga, we recognize five layers of the self (koshas) — the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual — that all shape how we experience the world. My approach is to honor and support every layer, creating a space where you can find relief from physical tension and pain while also nurturing emotional balance, mental clarity, and a deeper sense of connection.

Whether you’re seeking to reduce discomfort, move more freely, or explore the depth and beauty of the practice, I’m here to help. By weaving together tools like Somatic Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, pranayama, sound healing, and yoga philosophy, I create individualized sessions that meet you where you are and support your whole being. Whatever your intention, (to feel better in your body, calmer in your mind, or more aligned in your life) you’ll be guided with compassion, expertise, and care every step of the way.

Our bodies are incredibly intelligent. They’ll do almost anything we ask of them, even when we’re dealing with pain, tension, or old injuries. To keep going, the body finds ways to compensate, relying on certain muscles to pick up the slack. Over time, this can lead to tight, overworked muscles, weakened connections, and discomfort that spreads throughout the body.

Most traditional treatments only focus on the area that hurts, missing the root causes that lie elsewhere. In these sessions, I take a holistic approach, looking at the body as an integrated system to find and address those root causes. Through tools like Somatic Yoga, I help you release tight, restricted areas, reawaken and strengthen underused muscles, and restore balance throughout your body.

I’ve witnessed incredible changes in my clients: greater body awareness, reduced chronic tension and pain, and a return to moving with more ease and freedom. Helping people feel better in their bodies is deeply rewarding, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support you in releasing tension, reducing discomfort, and creating a more balanced, resilient body over time.

Client Appreciation

  • Krista is a gem! I suffer from severe stenosis in my neck and spine causing nerve pain down my left arm and fingers. I’ve been looking for lifestyle techniques to avoid a surgery. Since working with Krista I’ve been able to add some valuable tools to my practice and have found immense relief with her guidance! Krista is an invaluable teacher and helps remind me that the simplest of poses and daily practices go a long way! I would be lost without her guidance honestly because I thought more movement would be more advantageous however the short and small movements have been helping more than expected. I’ve been thru PT, acupuncture, massage etc and I’m a dietitian so I know about nutrition and have a decent understanding about yoga. That said, I was pretty surprised that I learned more from just a few sessions with her than I could have on my own. I’m truly grateful for her guidance and I plan to continue working with her!

  • I loved how Krista took time to get to know me - mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Her caring way for me as a student really came through in her open communication and her thorough explanation of the yoga poses. Throughout the session she was checking in to see how I felt. Thank you so much Krista, for sharing your love and talent with those who need healing.

  • Thank you for helping me navigate the chronic pain and helping me understand the trauma patterns I hold. The direct support was necessary in order for me to understand the true 'why' in needing to slow down and not only listen, but communicate with my body. The collaborative approach is so helpful for me. Being able to talk through what I’m experiencing, slowing down, and exploring the experience together has been so beneficial. I’m more intentional now about how my body is moving and the mind/body connection.
